CANNNASPORT

WHAT
As the Cannabis market continues to grow and be de-stigmatized, many are looking to fill niche market gaps. This project was inspired by the lack of cannabis products made specifically for athletes. I created the brand, products, packaging, & more.

WHO
Our demo is pretty easy to guess: athletes who enjoy cannabis. Many professional sports still ban cannabis use, so we're certainly not going after MLB players or anything like that. Just regular active people, retired athletes, rec players, etc.

HOW
Starting with the branding, I knew I wanted something that reads as sports just as much as it does cannabis. From the type to the colors to the logo, this brand is a fusion of the two worlds. I also developed some social media assets. The video to the left is an example of an Instagram Reel/TikTok.

HOWCONT
Athletes rely on their lungs to be in good health for their breathing and stamina, so I created non-smoking products (see below). I also designed a mobile app with features online ordering, dispensary lookup, information on strains, and a changing list of programs and exercises, sometimes lead by celebrities.

WHY
This brand has potential to dominate an untapped market, but since it's not alive in the world, I'm going to use this box to talk about that packaging. Deal with it. Specifically, I want to highlight the use of color for the 3 product lines, REV, RCVR, and REST. REV, being a high energy sativa, is a bright hot red/orange. REST, being a strong & sleepy indica, is a cool vibrant blue. And RCVR, the hybrid, is a perfect blend between the 2 colors of the other strains.

BONUS: AI
As this project was 100% my creation, I used several AI tools to help me bring it to life. An AI tool was used to generate the company name, actually it generated hundreds in seconds, and I picked my favorite. I also used everyone's favorite, ChatGPT, to write the company's mission statement that appears on packaging, the text that appears on the mobile order screen in the video,  and the caption to the above social media post. All of those needed a bit of massaging and finessing, but using AI was great starting point for sure.
